Well thank you all for those who voted but I am sad to say we lost the contest. I could say some things about how the contest was run but my mother always told me to be nice so I won't say anything. ( Actually she didn't but Harry gets mad at me when I say bad things on our site)
Anyway... thanks to those who voted and congratulations to the winner Edgar and the Voyagers created by Joe Orrantia.
Not that it matters much as you essentially get nothing for winning except a ribbon. At least the Cartoon Network cartoons we did were entered to win a series! This, you get nothing. Nada, sqaut. zip.
Anyway check out Joe's cartoon... it did really come out nice!

Sorry that Jackalopes didn't win. I thought it was a funny idea. So what will become of the characters now? Is there any way you can make other cartoons with them?
To answer your queastion... not much really. The show is now like thousands of other shows in Hollywood... it's in a development limbo called "turnaround". What that means is that although because WB didn't buy the series outright, they are still attached and so it has gone into "turnaround" which essentially means that if someone else wants to buy it they must first pay WB for all development costs and also a 5-10% cut for anything made from it after that. Too bad. Harry and I have three other cartoons in the same position. One called The Cool Patrol at Universal and two with Hanna Barbera/Cartoon Network called Bloo's Gang and The Ignoramooses. I also have two other shows like this as well. One with Cartoon Network called Swaroop and another called Bob's Your Uncle stuck in the quagmire at Warner Bros.
Why do we keep at it? I dunno really. Call ti a sickness or the belief that someday one ofnthese ideas will stick. One WILL become a series. That's my hope anyway. If you really did like the Jackalope Boyz send Cartoon Monsoon an email and tell them!
Either way that's for the vote of confindence. It means so much to us when we lose.
